Madelynn "Maddie" Dickinson is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner at the Family Medical Clinic of Wellman (FMCW). She brings extensive experience in primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, postpartum care, and the NICU, making her a trusted provider for individuals and families in the Wellman area.
Maddie’s passion for healthcare began early. Growing up with a medically complex brother, she saw firsthand the impact compassionate providers can have. At age 13, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This experience deepened her connection to patient care and strengthened her commitment to advocacy, education, and listening to her patients.
Originally from Aurora, Illinois, Maddie later settled in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where she completed high school. She began her education at Kirkwood Community College, transferred to Mount Mercy University, and went on to earn her doctorate as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
Her diverse clinical background and patient-centered approach led her to join CMH, where she is committed to providing high-quality, local care to the Wellman community and surrounding areas.
Maddie and her husband, Jake, live just outside of Wellman with their four children. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her children’s activities and volunteering at Mid-Prairie Elementary School.
